Last weekend we took a trip to Monroe, Louisiana to meet our new nephew Ethan Prendergast. What a sweet baby!! He and Walker are about 10 weeks apart.

Monroe is about a 6 hour drive from Birmingham....without kids :) It took us right at 8 only stopping twice each way. The boys did great...we could not have asked for them to be any better. We were a little worried due to the fact when we got on I-459 in Trussville Thursday morning....Will said, "How much longer?"!! Thank goodness for DVD players! I honestly don't know what our parents did without them.

We really enjoyed getting to be with Kelley, Adam and Ethan as well as Grammie and Aunt Kristi (aka Aunt Tisti). Will's favorite thing about the trip was that we went to Uncle Adam's office at ULM. He took Will to the baseball field to let him play where the big boys play. Keep in mind it was 105 degrees..but that did not slow him down. He marched out on that field and set up his tee. He then went to his baseball bag and got out his favorite bat. He stood on home plate hitting the balls and running the bases. He thought he was the bomb! If you will notice the hat he has on in the picture...it didn't take long for the Assistant Coach to find something different for him to put on!

On Saturday, Jason's cousins came to visit Ethan. It was so good to see them. We have not seen them in over a year...probably closer to two! Amy's little girl Parrish was only 2 months old the last time we were together. She will be two in October! Below is a picture of Parrish & Jackson.

We tried to get a picture of all the kids together....this is about as good as it got!
Since Walker and Ethan seemed to be on different eating and sleeping schedules getting pictures of them together was next to impossible! Here is one I got...I hope to do better next time.

As I close I wanted to post a picture of Jason and our sweet boys. They went for a swim at the hotel Saturday morning. This was Walker's first time in the water!!

Gosh we have had so much going on since my last post!! This has turned in to one busy summer.

Walker is growing and changing everyday and Will is being a Super Big Brother. I couldn't be any more proud. I call Walker my "smiley boy" because all you have to do is talk to him and he will give you the biggest toothless grin there is...it just melts my heart!

Jason had a go round with a kidney stone and the stone won :)! After an emergency run to his medical doctor, a scan at St. Vincent's, a trip to the urologist and a 3am visit to the emergency room they admitted him and surgically removed the stone. I have never seen anyone in pain the way he was in pain...it was awful and I hope he never has to go through that again!! (Or me!)

Jason was feeling some better on Saturday (July 3rd) so we went ahead with our plans to spend the weekend at the lake with family. We had a great time as always. I am so thankful that Will has grown to love the lake as much as Jason and I do.

We were at the lake a couple of weekends prior and as he was sitting on Barnaby (a ride on dog with wheels that belonged to his Aunt Kelley when she was little) watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and eating Fruit Loops...he looked at me and said, "Mom...I love this lake"! And that he does! His favorite thing is the yellow jet ski...not sure why the yellow one but he only wants to ride on it.

Now we have to hope that Walker will grow to love the lake as well all do! Oh and I can't forget Ellie Mae...she LOVES the lake as well. When we open the door to let her out of the car, she makes a mad dash to the water and lies down in it! Silly dog!

This past weekend was a much needed low key weekend. We got some things done around the house, met some friends for dinner and church on Sunday. We felt like visitors at our own church because it had been 6 weeks since we had been!! (Memorial Day at the lake, Two weekends at the beach, Father's Day, another weekend at the lake and July 4th at the lake. Gosh no wonder I am tired!)

We are excited to be going to meet our new nephew Ethan on Thursday. Ethan and his Mommy (Kelley) and Daddy (Adam) live in West Monroe, Louisiana. It is about a 5 hour drive (probably more with 2 kiddos) so that part will not be fun but it will be well worth it! I can't wait for all of the boys to be together so we can get pictures!! Uncle Adam has promised to take Will to ULM's baseball field so he can see where the big boys play :) Uncle Adam works for ULM.

Well that is all for now...I know I have left out a lot but I must try and get some sleep :)
